Netflix has more hours of quality viewing than we could hope to get through in one lifetime, but there’s one thing – or really, person – it’s been missing: Amy Schumer.

But not anymore. On Wednesday the actress/comedian/writer announced she’s got a new stand-up comedy special premiering on the streaming service on March 7.

According to a press release, the performance was recorded in the US city of Denver on November 5, during Schumer’s international tour.

The news will be a consolation to Australians who bought tickets to the Down Under leg of the tour, which she disappointingly had to cancel due to illness.

The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo author had a typically comical response to the announcement.

“Very happy to be a part of the Netflix family for this special. Maybe now they will look at my Stranger Things audition tape to play the demogorgon for Season 2.”

Schumer continues to take her success as a stand-up comic to new heights: she sold out London’s The O2 Arena, and became the first female comic to sell out New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden, which she’s now done twice.

In terms of her TV specials, it’s a similar story. Her HBO comedy special, Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo earned three Emmy Award nominations and a Writers Guild Award nomination for Best Comedy/Variety Special.
