Congratulations are in order for Amanda Seyfried and her actor partner Thomas Sadoski, after the expecting couple wed in a secret ceremony last week.

The Newsroom star announced the news when he appeared on The James Corden Show, revealing they chose to elope in the US countryside with a celebrant.

“We just took off into the country with an officiant, just the two of us, and we did our thing,” Sadoski told Corden, adding his new wife is “the person I love, admire, and respect most in the world.”

Elaborating on the low-key ceremony, he said “It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other.

“It’s great, it’s kind of perfect. [After the ceremony], you take the dog and you walk through the country and go home. And you like have your life. We went out to dinner, we did great, it was awesome. We had a great day. It was perfect.”

Mean Girls star Seyfried, 31, who announced in November she’s expecting her first child with Sadoski, met her husband-to-be in in Broadway play The Way We Get By last year. They played two people that have a one-night stand.

Amanda and Thomas reconnected again when they both starred in The Last Word, and announced their engagement in September.

Seyfriend recently opened up about her struggle with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, revealing she’s on medication to treat it.

“I’m on Lexapro, and I’ll never get off it,” she said. “I’ve been on it since I was 19, so 11 years. I’m on the lowest dose. I don’t see the point of getting off it.”

The 11 years have been an eye opener and changer for Seyfried, who says, “as I get older, the compulsive thoughts and fears have diminished a lot”. She also relies on her psychological understanding of said fears. “Knowing that a lot of my fears are not reality-based really helps.”
