In a pair of gold, Gianvito Rossi heels and bearing gifts, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney arrived at The Mark Hotel on the Upper East Side in New York City. She was indeed ushered up to the penthouse where the Duchess Of Sussex Meghan Markle – and guests – would be waiting to greet her for the Royal’s baby shower.
According to Page Six, The mark’s chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten created a special menu for the soiree who also included actress’ Abigail Spencer and Priyanka Chopra, tennis great Serena Williams and Markle’s best friend stylist Jessica Mulroney. Oprah and Gayle King are also expected to attend.
Despite its snowing in the city and hitting zero degrees, Clooney wore a strapless red jumpsuit, cloaked only is a black blazer. Her security guard carried two large bags with little giraffes on them into the hotel. Even if you were Mrs Clooney and could afford the world, what on earth would you give a Royal child for a present?
Markle has spent two days in Manhattan where she visited Ladurée for macarons and tea and met up with Williams uptown at Ralph Lauren’s Polo Bar. She also stopped by the Met Breuer museum.
