Following the obvious reasons behind Alicia Vikander’s steady girl-of-the-moment, 2016 status – winning her first Oscar, the prestigious and plentiful roles filling her IMDB profile page and a string of red carpet looks regularly making ‘Best Dressed’ lists – she had continued to set new beauty standards both on and off duty. In London on the promotional circuit for her new film, Jason Bourne, Vikander’s had looked significantly longer than when GRAZIA caught up with her last week in Sydney.

Shooting down from her previous collarbone-grazing long bob to a long mermaid lengths, her fresh hair was most likely supplied by some stealth hair extensions. But Vikander’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it, beauty transformation effort is anything but Valley-girl, proving that extensions can be chic when done properly. First off, the shade and texture is impeccably matched, a must for anyone considering clip-on hair or something slightly more permanent. Secondly, the actress hasn’t overdone it, instead erring on the side of caution when it comes to extra volume and length, for a has-she-hasn’t-she, effect.

Later that night at the film’s primer, Vikander’s long, brunette hair was seamlessly pulled back into a textured, bubble ponytail. Paired with a glittering, under eye liner and a shimmering, custom design dress from Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton, Vikander didn’t put a foot, or a strand, wrong.
