Setting aside the fact its price tag isn’t the four figures range, there’s something that makes these white designer tees emblazoned with feminist logos very different from other lust-haves we’ve seen all over international magazines and social media this season.

Half the money from every alice + olivia Communi-T shirt sale will be passed on to the Global Fund for Women, a not-for-profit organisation that’s raised hundreds of millions of dollars to fund women’s human rights initiatives since New Zealander Anne Firth Murray started it 40 years ago.

 

Two shirts in the capsule collection – each printed in the brand’s signature slogan font with a meme-worthy, girl-power appropriate statement – have just landed on the American fashion brand’s website and in most of its 50 stores dotted across the globe.

“We believe that clothing is personal expression,” says Los Angeles native Stacey Bendet (featured in the Instagram video above) a mother of three and founder of the brand that shows at New York Fashion Week and counts Emily Ratajkowski, Angelina Jolie and Dakota Fanning amongst its many celebrity fans.

“What a woman puts on each morning is her daily art, her voice, something she shares with the world around her.” We’ll have what Kourtney and Emily are having, thanks.
