Beautifully feminine dresses, leather minis and cult tees were not enough for Edwina Forest and Adrian Norris. The pair, who co-founded one of Australia’s foremost brands, Aje, have now ventured into jewellery with an exquisite range which not only reflects Aje’s artisanal heart but compliments each piece of clothing wholeheartedly. In fact, upon looking at the new collection, ‘Aje Adorn‘, it’s difficult to even imagine their Eucalypt Blouson Blouse without a pair of Double Petal Pearl Studs, or their green gumnut silk unaccompanied by Pebble Drops or Pearl Crawlers. It’s like they were made for each other, and in truth, they were.

Much like the raw beauty, the tough femininity and the effortless cool of its dresses, shirts and skirts, ‘Aje Adorn‘ sits as an extension of this Aje woman. Inspired by both her contrast and her complexity, the beautifully considered pieces are wrought from precious metals and freshwater pearls, spanning everything from drop earrings to crawlers, and delicate necklaces to chunky chokers. And much like the modern woman, perfectly imperfect, each piece is purposefully nuanced with slight imperfection.

Rendered in tonal gold and silver, hammered metals, raw edges and brushed finishes, the collection plays on duality, of asymmetry and symmetry, modernity and nostalgia, delicacy and strength. As always, the artisan is at the fore of Aje design, as craftsmanship and quality plays an integral role in Adorn, with both form and function honoured. Jewels for the dreamers, the doers and the believers, there is no better way to adorn yourself than with Aje.
