It’s not often we’re blessed with candid photos of Adele, but this Christmas we got just that.
The British singer, who updates her Instagram account once every couple of months, took to social media to share photos from her recent Christmas party, which was attended by both the Grinch and Santa Claus (and likely a slew of famous faces).
The black and white images show Adele in a black satin dress with a square neck and ruched on-trend puff-sleeves. She wore her hair in Hollywood curls and paired the look with dark lipstick.
Since confirming her separation from her husband of three years, Simon Konecki – who is also father to her six-year-old son – Adele has largely been keeping away from the spotlight.
Referencing her tough year on her 31st birthday in May, she wrote on Instagram, “30 tried me so hard but I’m owning it and trying my hardest to lean in to it all. No matter how long we’re here for life is constant and complicated at times. I’ve changed drastically in the last couple years and I’m still changing and that’s okay.”
She continued, “31 is going to be a big ol’ year and I’m going to spend it all on myself. For the first time in a decade I’m ready to feel the world around me and look up for once. Learning to REALLY truly love yourself is it, and I’ve only just realised that that is more than enough.”
31 – and Christmas – looks good on you, Adele.
