I’ve accepted it…” A resigned Zoe Kravitz tells Allure during Paris Fashion Week as she discusses how her bleached hair has completely damaged her locks. Next minute… the Big Little Lies actress is posting an Instagram shot featuring a pile of blonde braids on the ground alongside the caption: “Oh shit: part 1”.
As followers spend the next few hours encouraging Kravitz to shave off all her hair in comments under the post, the 2.6 million followers didn’t have long to wait before she was doing the modern day big reveal – a selfie. Captioning it “Oh shit: part 2”, the next post shows the actress sporting a new super short style edging on a buzz cut.

Created at the hands of hair collaborator Nikki Nelms and colourist Daniel Moon, the chop is very reminiscent of Kristen Stewart’s hair cut from a month ago – when the Personal Shopper actress hit the red carpet with a shaved head dyed bleached blonde. With the two girls renowned for not wishing to conform to traditional Hollywood standards, it seems fitting that both have opted for a very similar look.
In an age where we are constantly seeing fashion and beauty transgress along a genderless path, this year we’re witnessing this concept even further through the hair choices of some of Hollywood’s biggest names. So the big question is, who’s next?
