MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA: Together with Ralph Lauren, GRAZIA Australia welcomed guests to the first evening of the 2025 Australian Open on January 12.
The American fashion house, the official outfitter of the 2025 Australian tournament for the fifth consecutive year, played host inside its luxurious, on-site hospitality suite at Melbourne Park before inviting guests to spend the evening watching some world-class tennis at Rod Laver Arena: Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka beat America’s Sloane Stephens in two sets (6,2; 6,3) and Germany’s Alexander Zverev beat Frenchman Lucas Pouille in three straight sets (6,4; 6,4; 6,4).
Guests included tennis WAG (and “the most famous woman in Men’s tennis” as touted by the New York Times) Morgan Riddle, AFL Women’s player and radio host Moana Hope, television presenter Laura Dundovic, fashion designers Effie Kats and Saskia Jenkins, models Laura Dewit, James Parr and Moe Alhassan, author Lucinda Price, tastemakers Petra Mack, Vincent Tolefe and Jessica Roche, and social media personalities including Rowi Singh and Christina Macpherson.
Set against navy and white panelling with framed archival Ralph Lauren imagery on its walls—and with white-trimmed navy patterned cushions and small gold desk lamps— the suite nodded to many of Mr. Lauren’s classic homes, notably the outdoor area of his Bedford, New York abode built in 1919.
For close to two decades, the American House has defined court-side fashion for some of the world’s biggest Grand Slam tournaments: the US Open since 2005, Wimbledon since 2006, and the Australian Open, since 2021. As well as outfitting thousands of AO staff and officials at this year’s Open, Ralph Lauren have ejected an on-ground pop-up boutique encouraging tennis attendees to discover a range of designs from Polo Ralph Lauren, the Australian Open Capsule Collection and a limited-edition ‘Create-Your-Own’ Customisation Program. These pieces offer a chance to own a piece of Australian Open history–with covetable, collectible items including the iconic 2025 Player Towels and new iterations of the popular Polo Bear motif, dressed in the 2025 ball kid uniforms designed by Ralph Lauren.
Yes, we say it every year, but if there were a secondary tournament running adjacent to the on-the-court action at Rod Laver Arena—one which saw the sponsor suites battle it out for the most glamorous guest experience—Ralph Lauren would take it in three straight sets.
