In recent days your Instagram feed may have been flooded with mega-models confirming their place in the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Among the long-time Angels set to return are Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo (the latter two back from maternity leave, no less) and a host of newcomers will strut their stuff, including Australian Victoria Lee, Vanessa Moody, Amilna Estevao and Frida Aasen.
But some major names have been surprisingly silent – Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner among them. The It girls have not confirmed their spots in the line-up on social media, which has many wondering if they failed to make the cut in 2017.
However, Victoria’s Secret did share a preview of The Making of the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show which features Bella briefly, so it’s possible she just hasn’t announced the news yet.
While Victoria’s Secret announced the official Angels that will be returning this year on their website, they haven’t shared the list of the rest of the models yet. So there is a chance Gigi, Bella and Kendall are just keeping us in suspense.
Other major names that surprisingly appear to have not made the cut are Hailey Baldwin, Isabel Goulart and Leonardo DiCaprio’s new squeeze, Lorena Rae.
The date for the 2017 catwalk show is yet to be announced, although it usually airs in late November or early December. As for where it’ll be held, there are whispers it’ll be in Shanghai, but that information too has still not been made public.
