The most high profile of talent turned out to celebrate 70 years of Christian Dior via the Designer Of Dreams exhibition opening at the Musée des Arts Decoratifs in Paris; a voyage of the houses’ designers through the years from Dior’s debut in 1947 to Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simmons and his first female designer Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Bella Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman, Robert Pattinson and a highly peroxided Karlie Kloss were among the notable model and movie star faces, each walking the thematic 32,000 square foot museum floor. From Dior’s innovative wasp-waisted bar suit intended to be worn at afternoon cocktail hour in hotels in the 40s to Maria Grazia Chiuri’s cinched essence d’herbier dress from Spring 2017, the exhibition opens to the public on July 5 2017 and will remain for viewing through until January 7 2018. In the meantime, take a peek inside it’s ouverture from the celebrity-laden cobble-stoned sideline – and the following haute couture show arrivals.
