A figure of Beyonce unveiled at a Madame Tussauds wax museum has sparked ire and outrage, with many claiming it looks nothing like Queen Bey.
A Twitter user shared a photo of the plastic Bey, which shows a figure with apparently lighter skin and blonder hair than Beyonce. Many also said the facial features look more like Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears or Hilary Duff than Bey.

“This is a melanin-defunct, lipless, thickless Bey,” said one Twitter user.
Others said lightening Bey’s black skin was “disgusting” and “disrespectful”, and accused Madame Tussauds of whitewashing.
“This white woman is definitely not her.”
Madame Tussauds New York responded to the online furor in a statement:
“At Madame Tussauds, our talented team of sculptors take every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted.
“Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures which is something our sculptors are unable to account for at the production stage.”
The Beyhive is known to be vicious and unrelenting when it comes to matters pertaining to Queen Bey, but it’s not known if Tussauds will give in to pressure and remove the wax figure from display, or make a new, darker-skinned, more Bey-like version.
