Jennifer Lawrence has addressed a video that surfaced this week showing her dancing on a stripper role in her characteristically humorous style.
Radar Online published the video of the actress in an Austrian nightclub, describing the scene as “America’s sweetheart cutting loose like a low-rent gogo dancer.”
The Passengers star hit back in a statement on her official Facebook page on Wednesday, saying that she would not apologise for having fun.
“Look, nobody wants to be reminded that they tried to dance on a stripper pole by the internet,” she wrote.
“It was one of my best friend’s birthdays and I dropped my paranoia guard for one second to have fun. I’m not going to apologise, I had a BLAST that night.”
She also cleared up Radar Online’s claim she lost her top and was wearing a bra in the club.
“PS that’s not a bra, it’s an Alexander Wang top and I’m not gonna lie, I think my dancing’s pretty good. Even with no core strength.”
