When Beyonce announced she’s pregnant with twins by posting a photo (above) of her bare bump on Instagram – and promptly stole the crown from Selena Gomez for the most liked photo on the app of all time – the internet went into meltdown.
But we should have known Queen Bey, who’s proved herself to be the master of pulling off a surprise (her Lemonade album and corresponding short film, the big reveal that she was pregnant with Blue Ivy on stage at the 2011 MTV VMAs, we could go on), probably had more up her sleeve.
A day later, Beyonce has released a slew of images of her pregnant body in a variety of different poses and outfits: an ethereal underwater series, a collection inspired by the great queens of Egypt, some nude shots paying tribute to the naked female form.

The highly personal images also feature daughter Blue Ivy, who kisses her mother’s growing belly. As a bonus, there’s also a treasure trove of never-before-seen photos of the Knowles-Carter clan, including Beyonce pregnant with Blue – possibly a subtle ‘told you so’ to the conspiracy theorists who accused her of faking her bump.
