Sarah Jessica Parker has given hope to Sex And The City fans with news the cult HBO show that ended in 2004 is likely to return to our screens.

And not just in the form of a third SATC movie but maybe even new TV episodes, possibly like the Gilmore Girls revival that’s coming to Netflix in November.

SJP told the Press Association there’s “always a possibility, definitely” that she’ll reprise her role as New York City based columnist Carrie.

“I don’t think any of us have said no,” she said. “I don’t know whether it’s a series or the movie. I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it’s been resolved.”

Following in the footsteps of the Gilmore Girls revival, which will see the show’s characters return for four, hour-long episodes, might be a good move for SATC, given the movies, while entertaining for fans did not garner a good critical reception.

Parker and her co-stars are all working on projects at present: she stars in new HBO series Divorce opposite Thomas Haden Church, Kim Cattrall is on Canadian HBO production Sensitive Skin, Cynthia Nixon recently played American poet Emily Dickinson in film A Quiet Passion and Kristin Davis has been focused on philanthropic work in recent years. In other words, nothing that couldn’t be moved for a SATC reunion.

Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte were last on our screen in the Sex And The City 2 movie in 2010.
