Imagine this: a parallel universe where Gigi Hadid is not a supermodel but instead a reality TV star – basically a younger, blonde version of Kim Kardashian.
This is what could have been according to former The Hills star Spencer Pratt, who has claimed he helped launch Gigi’s career by filming a reality show pilot about her.
Pratt, who fell into obscurity after The Hills ended in 2010, made the claims on Twitter on Thursday after the Sports Illustrated model unfollowed him on the social network because, as he says, he sent her a direct message about jiu-jitsu training.
“I DM’d @GiGIHadid about training Jiu Jitsu and she unfollowed me,” he wrote.
“Guess she forgot I shot her reality show pilot before she was famous.”
He then tweeted a photo of a young Gigi and Pratt’s wife Heidi Montag, which he says is from the set of the never-to-air show.

Gigi, 21, has appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills which her mother Yolanda Hadid stars in, but is primarily known as a model.
She hasn’t responded to the claims made by Spencer, but what we know for sure is that she doesn’t welcome unsolicited invitations to try martial arts.
