Just over three months since Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room, French authorities have arrested 17 people to be questioned in connection with the crime, local media reported on Monday.

A police spokesperson confirmed that an early morning raid was conducted and resulted in the arrest of 17 men, some in Paris and the surrounding region, and others in Grasse, a Riviera town north of Cannes.

Legally the suspects can be held for up to 96 hours without charges being laid, during which investigators will work to determine what involvement the men have in the October 3 crime, which saw Kim robbed of more than $10 million in jewellery, including a second engagement ring given to her by Kanye West just a few months earlier.

The New York Daily News reports that Kim will attempt to identify the criminals via a video link viewed from NYC.

Last week Naomi Campbell claimed a crime ring has been targeting high profile people in Paris for years, and revealed how she was the victim of an attempted robbery in 2012, which she understands her chauffeur driver was in on.

Kim is set to discuss the ordeal on the next season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which will air in March. In a preview clip released last week, she’s shown crying as she recalls how the mother-of-two thought “They’re going to shoot me in the back” and that “there’s no way out.”
