A week ago on July 16, Elsie Hewitt announced her pregnancy via Instagram, confirming that her and Pete Davidson are going to be parents.
The British model shared a carousel which featured images of the happy couple, a few pregnancy related memes, footage from an ultrasound appointment, as well as an image of a sonogram featuring the little one.
This week Davidson himself has spoken on the announcement publicly for the first time. At the premiere of his film The Home, Davidson explained that he is looking forward to fatherhood, especially “being able to take of something and show it the childhood I didn’t have.”

The comedian also shared that he received advice from fellow Saturday Night Live alum Adam Sandler on fatherhood, as well as support from many others.
“I’m very lucky and very, very happy,” he told E! News. “Everybody’s just been super excited for me, because they know it’s been my dream.”
This is something fans of Davidson can attest to, as he has spoken on his dreams of becoming a father prior. On a podcast in 2022 he told Kevin Hart, “My favourite thing ever, which I’ve yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid.”

Davidson and Hewitt have mostly kept their romance private, only confirming it in March of this year via Instagram. In the past, Davidson has been involved in several highly publicised relationships, the stress of which he has spoken on.
“I was harassed for like five years and it made my life a living hell.”
He explained that he’d rather the focus be on his work.
“I was one of the youngest ever cast members on SNL and all that got pushed to the side because of who I was dating.”

Therefore, its likely the couple will continue to share details of their lives sparingly with the public. Nonetheless, we wish them all the best with parenthood and the new journey that lies ahead!
