While taking some much needed time off has clearly been the best thing for Selena Gomez, her sabbatical has left a gaping hole in the beauty inspiration game these past few months. Since winning big at last month’s American Music Awards last month, the singer followed up with another big beauty bang and she has never looked better.

Seen out in Los Angeles last night, the singer still has her mid-Revival tour, shoulder-length chop in tact, but this time styled with a retro twist. Is Selena Gomez bringing back the hair flip? Made famous by Farrah Fawcett circa her Charlie Angels days, the flipped-back bangs have more recently graced our screens courtesy of the other mum in Stranger Things, Karen Wheeler.

Might Gomez’s sudden retro hair appreciation be a nod to the wildly popular 80’s-based Netflix show, or was her stylist simply overzealous with the round brushes? Fast-tracking her beauty look to 2016, however were the accompaniments. Think: long oval nails layered in an oxblood hue, apricot lips and bronze shadow on the eyes. After a season of same-same celebrity haircuts we were starting to feel a tad sick of that same of long-bob, so can we just say Selena, it’s so nice to have you back.
