Are you ready for something different? Change is the only certainty this year, with some of the sky’s major players changing signs (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune). While each shift will mean something different depending on your chart, you can guarantee you’re getting big sneak preview of what’s in store for the rest of the 2020s.

For Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn rising, there’s a more grown-up tone, as the eclipses in Aries/Libra finish up (late March). This year you’ll have to get serious about the lessons you’ve been mastering since April 2023, roll up your sleeves and prepare to take on more responsibility (excellent news if you’ve been vying for a promotion).

For Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces, there’s a lot of changes pencilled in. Look forward to a dreamy Venus retrograde (early March – mid April) and a less heavy vibe in the middle of the year (when Saturn moves into Aries May – September). Also on the cards, a serious spike of spontaneity while Uranus has a short stay in Gemini (July to November). The eclipses settle into Pisces/Virgo, emphasising the “which way is up” mood.

For Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, things look less intense than they have in a while. The highpoint is undoubtedly the second half of the year. Look forward to a greater sense of certainty between July and November when Uranus leaves Taurus (where it’s been since 2019!).

Whatever your chart looks like, the key to making the most of 2025 will be paying attention to the deeper themes and issues that pop up throughout the year. Look beyond the situation and ask yourself, what does this represent? Where am I being asked to step up? Like any transitional period, the key is to relax and watch what happens. Change isn’t always easy, but at least it’s not boring…

ARIES AND ARIES RISING

On your marks, get set….you’re in for one of the biggest years you’ve had in recent memory! With some major storylines closing out and new dreams taking shape there’s a lot of change in store for Aries in 2025. But any new venture has its challenges and while you’ll to be out of the gate trying to build an empire from day one (especially after late March), your biggest lesson this year will be in learning to take things one step at a time. If you aren’t prepared to read the room and slow down, you could find yourself spinning your wheels without much traction – especially between late May and early September. This year, you’re being asked to listen to your body and honour your energy cycles. You can’t operate at 200 per cent 24/7. Go into the year with a plan for rest (even if it’s as simple as locking in holidays) and you’ll have a head start on most Aries. If you’re in the market to move house, there’s some fortuitous feels coming your way in the second half of the year (early June onwards).

TAURUS AND TAURUS RISING

Ready to exhale? In 2025, you’ll get to do just that, as Uranus leaves your home sign for the first time since the 20-teens. One of the highpoints this year will be Venus retrograde (early March – mid April), when an old friend – or even someone you haven’t previously rated too highly – reappears in a whole new light. This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship…or maybe even something more. Elsewhere in the sky, you’re wrapping a major storyline that’s been unfolding around your health and wellbeing since 2023. In late March you’ll have greater clarity around how you need to move forward and start setting some long-term goals. A yearning to go back to school could also take hold in the second half of the year when Jupiter inspires an appetite for learning (from early June). New – possibly unexpected – financial ambitions could also capture your imagination once Uranus moves into Gemini (July – November).

GEMINI AND GEMINI RISING

You’ve been flat out the past year, and the good news is, the high energy continues in 2025, with rapid developments bringing an insatiable appetite for change. Keep your eyes peeled between July and November when you’ll get a preview of what’s in store for the years ahead (while Uranus is in Gemini). This is big reinvention energy, which neatly marries up with the eclipses pulling focus on your home and career. This could be the kind of year where you start out in January doing one thing, and find yourself in a completely different industry November. The Venus retrograde (early March – mid April) looks especially juicy for reconnecting with old friends or even old colleagues who could help you get further along your new path. In the middle of the year, Jupiter’s shift into Cancer could signal healthier finances, a pay rise or just a feeling of abundance.

CANCER AND CANCER RISING

The second half of the year looks especially sunny for Cancerians, when Jupiter – the planet ruling abundance, optimism and travel – moves into the front and centre of your life. That’s good news if you’ve been thinking about a big trip (or even a move), a new career or going back to study. It’s a welcome change after a bumpy start to the year (courtesy of Mars retrograde until early Feb). While it might not feel like it at the time (especially Jan – Feb), you will look back on those first couple of months and be grateful for their clarifying quality, even if it was simply to show you what you don’t want. New professional goals, greater responsibility or a whole new calling could take shape between May and September when Saturn moves into your professional sector. This is all about a long, slow climb – not a sprint – so make peace with the idea great mastery takes time.

LEO AND LEO RISING

Don’t be perturbed by the slow start to the year (thanks Mars retrograde), you’ve got plenty to look forward to in 2925. Top of the list, a whole lot less instability, particularly around work when Uranus makes it first shift into Gemini (early July – early November). The less frenetic quality will be a delightful change, coupled with a brand-new chapter that could see you getting interested in more spiritual practices like yoga and meditation. As the new eclipse cycle finds its groove, your approach to earning, saving and investing cash is all up for review. There could be some big shifts to how you think about money, with the Pisces north node inviting you to lighten up. Pay attention to the middle of the year when you could find yourself striking up some unusual friendships (especially July – November). They may seem out of character, but they could be a sign of things to come…

VIRGO AND VIRGO RISING

It’s a big year for Virgos with the eclipse cycle taking root in the centre of your life inviting you to let go of that which no longer serves you. Although this storyline began to take shape last year, in 2025 it really hits its stride. Changes around the way you define yourself, and the people you choose to spend your energy on (including partners, friends and even business partners) are highly likely. The Venus retrograde (early March to mid-April) could see an old dalliance re-emerge; but their cameo may simply help you understand what you truly value in relationships. Elsewhere Neptune is moving out of your relationships sphere where it’s been since 2012(!!),suggesting a greater level of clarity and direction around what you need in a plus one. Keep an eye on random work opportunities (overseas secondment perhaps?) between July and November when Uranus gives you a preview of what’s coming up in your career.

LIBRA AND LIBRA RISING

An old work wife could randomly materialise in March or early April, when Venus retrograde brings important female characters from your past back to the present. She could be here for a short time, or a long time, but regardless, it will feel like a delightful reconnection. Big shifts in your partner’s life also look highly likely, with the eclipses that have been hanging out there (since 2023) wrapping up. If you’re coupled up, you’re turning over a new leaf, but all good things take time and effort and this year you’ll start a new chapter of commitment towards a shared, long-term goal. On the career front things are looking especially golden from early June onwards when Jupiter moves into your professional sphere. Travel, promotions, bonuses or, all of the above, are on the cards. Get involved, you’ve earned it!

SCORPIO AND SCORPIO RISING

There’s some much-needed stability coming your way this year as you get your first taste of Uranus in Gemini. A hook up or work flirtation from your past could reappear (early march to mid-April) as Venus goes retrograde in the realm of good times and sexual chemistry. It could be quite hot but with Neptune also in the mix, you’re best to reserve judgement or the urge to elope until you’re 100 per cent sure this is the real deal. Major upgrades or changes taking place around your health wellbeing (first emerging in 2023) should start to make more sense in late March when the final Aries/libra eclipses wrap up. In June, opportunities to travel, study or deepen your spiritual practice will form a highlight of the year. If a course or retreat catches your eye after June, don’t second guess it – book your spot. It could be one of your most joyful experiences in 2025.

SAGITTARIUS AND SAGITTARIUS RISING

Things are looking up financially in the second half of 2025 when your ruling planet Jupiter moves into Cancer (from early June). This 12-month cycle could bring a sense of abundance and opportunity – especially in the realm of investments or even inheritance. Likewise, if you’ve been looking to buy a place this could be the time you finally find “the one”. It’s a nice key change to the start of 2025 when Mars retrograde (until early Feb) could have you feeling tapped out or, if you’re house hunting, completely over open homes. The eclipse cycle in Pisces/Virgo also settles into a rhythm, signalling more rapid changes around your work and/or home situation. This cycle, which began in September 2024, is playing out until 2026 so expect some fast and exciting developments throughout this year. With lots of changes happening in the Aries part of your chart, a long-term creative project could also take off. For the people closest to you, pay attention to the themes that arise between early July and early November when you get a preview of what’s in store for them for the rest of this decade.

CAPRICORN AND CAPRICORN RISING

The focus is squarely on your home and family this year, with several planets suggesting big changes and fresh starts. With an eclipse cycle wrapping up (late March) you’ll feel a new sense of clarity around what’s going on with where you’re living. But with Saturn (May – September) and Neptune (March to October) also moving in to this realm, you’re also likely to find yourself taking on more responsibilities and lofty ambitions. It could be a bigger mortgage or a major renovation project. Whatever it is, it looks to be a long-term commitment, so don’t put yourself under pressure trying to finish things in a hurry. One of the nicest moments of 2025 comes mid-year, when Jupiter brings a sense of abundance and opportunity for the people closest to you. A pay rise, new job or transfer could see your partner (or another person within your closest circle) find a new sense of confidence and optimism. After a rough start to the year (thanks to Mars retrograde, until early Feb), there’s no one you’d rather see get a boost of good luck.

AQUARIUS AND AQUARIUS RISING

You’re moving into a juicy new cycle for work in the second half of 2025 as Jupiter in Cancer (from early June) hints at a new flow state for Aquarian folk. This is the sort of astro weather that will see opportunities, a pay rise or travel seemingly land in your lap. It feels extra sweet after navigating a pretty intense period at work during the first quarter (due to Mars retrograde). Around the same time, expect to feel some pressure ease around your cash situation, as heavy financial obligations that you’ve been shouldering the past couple of years (since 2023) subside (late May – November). You may be tempted to go out and buy a Birkin to celebrate, but be warned, there’s still some big developments to come (until early 2026), so now is not the time for outrageous purchases. In other news if you’re not looking to add to your brood, take extra care in the middle of the year (especially early July through to early November) when Uranus hints at a little surprise package.

PISCES AND PISCES RISING

2025 is shaping up to be a big one for Pisces with your sign getting a front row seat to some of the year’s most exciting astrology. The most noticeable shift will come late May when Saturn leaves your sign (until September). Expect to feel lighter, brighter and less exhausted than you have for literally a couple of years (since 2023 when Saturn first went into Pisces). That burst of energy could inspire some big changes, with the eclipses continuing to signal major shifts for you and the people closest to you. Another fun moment comes during Venus retrograde (early March to mid-April) when someone from your past – a girlfriend or an old flame – could resurface. As you find a new rhythm with money and investments (from late March), a long-term plan or financial responsibility could also start to take shape. This is not a quick win, so don’t expect instant results. Keep an eye on what themes come up around your home and family between July and November when Uranus in Gemini gives you a sneak preview of what’s in store for the next seven years.
