Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater may have just wrapped the globe-trotting, emerald green-covered, and emotional press tour for the movie musical Wicked, but the pair are reportedly already looking ahead. According to a news item published by Entertainment Tonight, the co-stars and couple have already discussed the prospects of marriage and can see themselves heading down the aisle in the future.
“They’re continuing to appreciate and enjoy this moment, both professionally and personally,” the source claims. As the pair are enjoying the success of the film’s first part, the insider adds that they’re not looking to make any swift decisions about the next chapter of their relationship. “They think each other is ‘The One’ but aren’t rushing towards an engagement,” they continued before adding, “though that is something that they both see happening.”
Despite their connection originally being unpopular in the press, the source revealed that their nuptials already have the blessing of their loved ones. “[Their] families are so supportive and love seeing both of them be so happy,” they said. “Everyone is elated for the two of them.”
Grande and Slater were first rumoured to be dating in July of 2023 after they both separated from their respective spouses. They kept their romance relatively low-key before finally making things social media official after Wicked’s world premiere in Sydney, Australia.

Nevertheless, the public backlash didn’t dispel Jon M. Chu’s version from soaring at the box office with Wicked grossing over $500 million in global sales. Grande is also on an all-time career high, too. The actress just received her first-ever Golden Globe nomination for her bubbly portrayal of Glinda the Good Witch in the highly-anticipated screen adaptation of the beloved stage play.
“Ariana is soaking up all the outpouring love and support about Wicked from fans, celebrities, friends and family,” the source maintained. “Ethan is so excited as well and this process has brought them closer than ever before and provided an opportunity for them to bond. They are very grateful and it’s been an unparalleled experience.”
