Following the conclusion of her cancer treatments and a surprise appearance at the Olympics, Kate Middleton is officially back to her royal duties.
On September 17, the Princess of Wales allegedly kicked off her return to work with a meeting at Windsor Castle. Per the Court Circular, a daily bulletin that covers all things royals, Middleton met with Kensington Palace staff and the Centre for Early Childhood team. According to the outlet, she discussed picking back up the ongoing projects that she had initiated in 2023.
“The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an early years meeting at Windsor Castle,” read the article.
In early September, Middleton announced that she was officially cancer-free following chemotherapy treatments for an undisclosed form of cancer with a video shared with the public. With her family alongside her, the royal asserted that she would still take her time to return to business as usual in the clip. “Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long, and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she said, admitting that she was “looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”

In March 2024, Middleton shocked the world when, after a few months of being noticeably absent from public events, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer and would begin chemotherapy following complications from an abdominal surgery earlier in the year.
In an emotional video, she praised her family for their immense support and assured fans that she was “getting stronger every day” and working with an incredible team to get back to full health.
Though it’s unclear how much we will see of the princess in these upcoming months, Buckingham Palace has already (tentatively) confirmed that she will attend the upcoming Remembrance Sunday ceremony in November and the annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey in December.
