The start is usually clear. A place in the story with a focused plan, a definite outset. And so is the endgame. The final stop, the anticipated finale. Yet, between these two anchors is a centre. A journey. A vast, indefinable expanse that is as unpredictable as it is engrossing. The middle is the wistful intruder. An ever-changing season that can turn at a moment’s notice. It flashes before us as we ride within it and it never stays still. And while we’re swayed by an ending, skipping to final chapters and reading through spoilers, quick closure offers little lasting gratification. Because it is at the centre of the road, when we pause to reckon the past and the future, that the real meaning unfolds.

As though reconciling these two existential pillars, we find a sartorial moment mused by the continuum of the journey. Flashing through obtuse frameworks, the golden decor and ornate weaves of classic accoutrement crafts a setting for a modern renaissance. The lucid movement and stoic graphics of linked chains, embossed leathers and surreal silhouettes blast against the diaphanous dream of liquid ensembles. As time passes, the ethereal protagonist reveals her journey. She’s looking back, moving forward and dashing through the present in decadent design that beckons her a most romantic path. She sways and swerves through the blooms of time, allowing a moment to reflect. But before long the breeze of the season takes her further. And as it passes, a baroque crown glitters, golden jewellery flickers and the slow capture of spectacular modern costume blurs and dances its way into the next chapter.
