Gigi Hadid’s sister Bella may be the queen of Y2K, but since returning to the fashion world after giving birth to her first child, a daughter named Khai, the eldest Hadid sister is carving out her own personal style.

Spotted in between New York Fashion Week shows this week, Hadid was photographed keeping warm by wearing the latest Moncler Genius collection with DingYun Zhang. Hadid has shown her love for a good puffer a lot during the city’s colder months and this light blue Moncler addition to her wardrobe is the perfect piece to make a casual, cool statement. The brand’s puffers have long been a favourite of those in the fashion industry and this collaboration is no exception, selling out online almost immediately after release.

Hadid paired her jacket with statement tie-dye jeans, also in blue and wore her freshly blonde hair slicked back with gel.

Keeping to the colour theme, the 26-year-old opted for comfort, wearing dark navy sneakers which debuted in Moncler’s fall winter 2021 collection in collaboration with Converse.

Hadid’s return to the New York Fashion Week is a welcome one, considering the model hinted at retiring from the runway altogether in a recent interview. Speaking with i-D Hadid revealed she was ready for a bit of a career change and more than happy happy to sit on the sidelines to see the next-gen take over.

“Where can I make way for that next generation and focus my energy and time on something else—something that is obviously still in this world but is fulfilling for me, creatively, and different?,” she pondered at the time while speaking about the potential of starting her own fashion line.

Since then, it was announced she would be joining the cast of the Netflix show, Next in Fashion, taking over as one of the show’s hosts and replacing Alexa Chung who appeared in season one. In the series, Hadid will star alongside her good friend, Queer Eye’s Tan France.
