The gilded luggage trolley piled high with bags and boxes in the centre of the Bvlgari Hotel lobby said it all: at this party, regular rules of accessory engagement don’t apply.

But even the most well-heeled guests at BVLGARI’s glittering Milan Fashion Week party had serious competition for the spotlight in the form of the brand’s new Fall Winter 2018 bags and shades.

One of the brand’s most playful collections yet – complete with bold striped motifs, fun prints, signature metallic leathers and cheeky hexagonal sunglasses – proved to be the smash hit of the soiree.

Australian style star (and GRAZIA favourite) stunning actress and influencer Sarah Ellen kept things simple in a black satin slip dress with thigh split, offset with lust-have BVLGARI bling around her neck and adoring ears of course.

BVLGARI brand ambassador Jasmine Saunders arrived guns blazing in a glittering gold gown, a snake-headed, bejewelled beast wrapped seductively around her neck.

Original Italian It-Girl Gilda Ambrosio stunned for all the right reasons in her head-to-toe purple look. Around her head the BVLGARI spirit animal, the serpent, formed in gold and white enamel.

Princess Lilly Zu Sayn Wittgenstein Berleburg, Margaret Zhang and Kris Wu were amongst guests at the dinner party, later kept on their toes by It-Girl DJs Simi and Haze Khadra (yes, they’re twins, with a combined style cache that’s out of this world) until party’s wrap in the early hours of the morning.

After all, even jewel-fuelled fashion fantasies have to come to an end, albeit a fashionably late one.
