Margot Robbie has received a Golden Globe nomination for her role in I, Tonya.
Margot will go up against Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan, Helen Mirren and Judi Dench in the Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical category.
The nod follows months of speculation she was likely to be recognised this awards season for her dark, funny and compelling portrayal of disgraced former US professional ice skater Tonya Harding.
The 27-year-old shared a photo on Instagram of herself clinking champagne glasses to celebrate the news.
Margot is just one of several Australians to receive Golden Globe nominations.
Nicole Kidman is up for Best Television Performance by an Actress (Limited Series) for her performance in Big Little Lies, Hugh Jackman has been nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Musical/Comedy) for his role in The Greatest Showman, and Geoffrey Rush is nominated for Best Television Performance by an Actor (Limited Series) for his portrayal of Albert Einstein in Genius.
The Golden Globes will be held in Los Angeles on Sunday January 7.
