Six months after she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, Kim Kardashian went on a holiday to Mexico with sister Kourtney and about 15 of their female friends.
During the April stay at a luxury private home in Punta Mita on Mexico’s Pacific coast, Kim had a panic attack about whether or not she was safe there, as shown in a trailer for the next episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
In the clip Kim calls the house’s owner, Joe Francis, and begins to cry as she asks him whether she and the group will be safe staying there.
“I just have anxiety. Are you sure it’s safe here?” she asks through sobs.
In a piece-to-camera that appears to have been filmed after the trip, Kim explains how the traumatic incident in Paris, where she was tied up, had a gun put to her head and was robbed of millions of dollars’ worth of jewellery, has affected her.
“Ever since Paris, I just go through this worst case scenario mode in my head.
“I was so excited to come on this trip and I had no idea that I was going to end up feeling this way, but it hit me right as we were getting off the plane,” she continues.
“All of these people at the airport are gonna see 17 or 18 girls with all of our Chanel bags and Louis Vuitton this, and it just hit me that we’re the biggest target ever.”
Appearing on The Ellen Show earlier this year, Kim said she believes the incident was “meant to happen” to her.
“I know this sounds crazy, but I know that was meant to happen to me,” she said.
“I’m such a different person [now],” she said, fighting back tears. “It was meant to happen to me. I really feel like things happen in your life to teach you things.”
