Ariana Grande is begging the US government to act on gun control after the country suffered the worst mass shooting in its history.
At least 58 people are dead and more than 500 were injured when a lone gunman opened fire on a music festival on the Las Vegas strip on Sunday night local time, shooting down at the crowd from a room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
“My heart is breaking for Las Vegas,” Grande tweeted.
“We need love, unity, peace, gun control & for people to look at this & call this what it is = terrorism.”
The Dangerous Woman singer is sensitive to violence at music festivals after the suicide bomb attack that occurred at her Manchester concert in May, which killed 22 and injured more than 50.
Jennifer Lopez tweeted she was “feeling so broken this morning” upon hearing the news, while Taylor Swift tweeted “There are no words to express the helplessness and sorrow my broken heart feels for the victims in Vegas and their families.”
