Perhaps the most interesting part of any break-up is what each participating party does next. And while our eyes were glued to a more-than-usually-perfect Gigi Hadid singing a Zayn Malik song on the weekend, Taylor Swift turned the attention away from her break-up with Calvin Harris by crashing a fan’s wedding on Saturday.
The Wildest Dreams singer surprised Max Singer and Kenya Smith at their Long Township wedding in New Jersey. Singer’s sister, Ali, had written a letter to Swift earlier in the year telling her of their mother’s death. The actual wedding took place in their mum’s hospital room before she passed away, where Singer and his mum took their first dance to Swift’s Blank Space.
Fittingly, the 26-year-old performed the song on the piano as a tribute to the groom’s late mother.
Calvin Harris liked Swift’s Instagram posts of the occasion, proving the couple’s only confirmation of their split via this tweet last week.
