He’s not nominated for an award, but The Weeknd is set to be the most talked about person at this month’s Grammy Awards.

Not only is the Starboy singer performing, but according to TMZ he and new girlfriend Selena Gomez are set to make their public debut as a couple.

The website claims to have the inside word that the singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, has requested a plus one for Gomez at Clive Davis’ annual Grammys after party, and has also asked that seating arrangements at the ceremony be shifted so they can sit together.

Hands To Myself singer Selena is also not nominated for any awards, so it appears her presence at the ceremony on February 12 would mostly be to support her new man.

If Selena and The Weeknd attend the Grammys together it will be their first official confirmation that they’re indeed a couple. The news of their relationship first broke when they were spotted kissing outside an LA restaurant last month, and they’re currently on vacation in Italy together where Selena briefly posted a photo of Tesfaye to her Instagram account, but deleted it moments later.

Other performers at this year’s Grammys include John Legend, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood and Metallica. The night will be hosted by James Corden.
