In case you’ve been on a no-internet hiatus, welcome to 2016, the year where every celebrity drama is played out online for us to follow along and enjoy. Over the weekend, Justin Beiber posted a series of eight photos with his reported new girlfriend, 17-year-old model Sofia Richie, in Tokyo. In turn, his most staunch beliebers began hating on the her forcing Justin to post a warning. “I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”
Fair call, but as Bieber’s ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez pointed out, if you don’t want negative attention, keep your relationship private. The 24-year-old Hands To Myself singer left the following comment on Bieber’s photo. “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you and supported you before any one ever did.”
Can we sense a little bitterness here? Is Gomez questioning the validity of this relationship’s special-ness? Also, where’s Sahara Ray at?
