If you’ve ever looked at Kylie Jenner’s Instagram account, you’ll have noticed the deluge of comments that simply say ‘LB’ underneath her photos.

‘LB’ stands for ‘like back’, a request from the user to, well, like one or several of their photos, and it happens on accounts with large followings, like Kylie’s.

The practice has been driving the makeup mogul ‘gram mad since at least December 2012, when she tweeted (in all caps for emphasis):

“STOP WRITING LB ON ALL MY INSTAGRAM PHOTOS AND USING ME AS A WAY TO ADVERTISE YOURSELF.”

Now Instagram has rolled out a feature that allows users to filter certain words in their comments or turn off comments completely, and Kylie has decided to do the latter. She explained her decision on Twitter (a platform where she’s not plagued by LBs).

“So I’m trying out disabling my comments on Instagram because I’m done w people self promoting & the ‘LB’s” she wrote.

Make no mistake, Kylie Jenner’s Instagram account is for promoting Kylie Jenner and Kylie Jenner alone. Got that?

It’ll be interesting to see which celebrities follow suit. So far, Taylor Swift has used it to stop all those snake emojis, and Chrissy Teigen has filtered the words Trump, colon and cleanse, along with some profanities.
