Much like the Kardashian and Jenner family themselves, Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kit cosmetic company venture has faced a constant hit of equal criticism and backlash, as intrigue and obsession. People just couldn’t help but care and the proof was in the sales (and likely in the RSI diagnosis of the e-com coordinator after repeatedly hitting the “available now” and “sold out” buttons back-to-back.)

Offering a more official opinion over the barrage of bloggers and vloggers voicing their concerns over formula, brush quality and wear, was the betteBetter Business Bureau, which awarded Kylie Lip Kits an F grade in response to customer complaints.

Since then, the rating has been shifted to a C, then a B- and now, nothing. As of Wednesday, the Better Business Bureau showed Kylie Lip Kits had “No Rating” and that “previously had an F rating due to unresolved complaints as well as a pattern of complaints regarding issues related to the delivery of orders.”

While the BBB has said that Kylie’s company is working with them to resolve issues, Jenner herself has come to her venture defence on her website. “You guys are the reason I keep going and I’m motivated every day to make Kylie Cosmetics the best it can be,” Kylie, 18, said on her website/app. “I’m continuing to learn and I just want to make everyone happy. Because so many of you spoke out, I’m excited to tell you that the Better Business Bureau has looked at the facts and changed the rating.”

Acknowledging the complaints, Jenner says all issues to date have been tended to in a timely manner. “I’ve sold millions of lip kits and any complaint we’ve received to date has been addressed in a timely manner. I’m sick and tired of people coming for my business. I love everything about Kylie Cosmetics and I will do anything in my power to protect and improve it every day and make you guys happy. I don’t want to respond to the haters but you guys deserve an answer and to know the facts. I love you and apologize to anyone who felt the urge to complain and didn’t receive the service they deserve.”

While the BBB doesn’t offer specific guidelines on their evaluation criteria, the constant sold-out-status, and delivery issues and packaging complaints couldn’t be helping. Kylie is all to aware of the issues, taking to her SnapChat to explain her efforts to alleviate the sell rate of the kits.

Meanwhile a rep from the BBB spoke to E! News about the reason behind the company’s changing status saying,  “The bottom line here is, all of this attention has certainly benefited the company’s customers and will also prove to be beneficial for the company, I hope.”
