When Khloe Kardashian appeared as a guest on The Ellen Show on Tuesday, there was one topic everyone wanted to know about: Kim Kardashian’s terrifying robbery in Paris.

Host Ellen DeGeneres got straight to the point, asking Khloe how Kim was doing following the incident which saw masked men gain entry to her Paris apartment, put a gun to her head, tie her up and throw her in the bath while they ransacked the room for around USD $5 million in jewellery, including her engagement ring.

“I mean, she’s not doing that well” Khloe replied. “I mean, it’s incredibly traumatic what happened to her. But our family is super close and great and we’ll get through it together, and we do appreciate all of your guys’ love and support. And it will take time. You know, it was horrible what happened to her.

“I think it’s just a wake-up call to make a lot of life adjustments,” she continued.

“This is a really serious matter for Kim. I think that’s really personal as to when that emotional terror ― you could move on from that. I think, for us, it’s all a wake-up call for all of us, but definitely just to make sure our sister is OK.”

When Ellen commented that many members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan had been updating their social media accounts less following the ordeal, Khloe confirmed the family does intend to be more careful and considered about what they share online

“Yeah, I think in that aspect and just to make sure we’re as protected as possible … I think it’s important to make those adjustments and pull back a little bit.”

Kim posted a Snapchat from her apartment in which her engagement ring was visible hours before the robbery, and in the days leading up to the heist.

The latest development in the investigation comes as a piece of her stolen jewellery – a platinum mounted diamond cross worth AU$43,716 – was stumbled upon by a passer-by outside Kardashian-West’s luxury apartment and reported to police a day after the robbery, reports TMZ. Detectives are hoping extensive DNA testing could lead to one or more of the five masked thieves present during the burglary.
