Kim Kardashian had just touched down in New York to make her first public appearance in months when she learned of Kanye West’s hospitalisation, and immediately boarded another flight back to Los Angeles, it’s been revealed.
TMZ reports that Kim learned her husband had been admitted to hospital as soon as her flight landed, and she didn’t hesitate to skip the Angel Ball charity event she was due to attend and head straight back to LA to be by her husband’s side at UCLA Medical Centre.
TMZ has also obtained the audio of the 911 call Kanye’s doctor Dr. Michael Farzam made to emergency services, referring to his client as “Jim Jones” and explaining he was suffering from “temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration”.
The 911 call also reveals that Kanye had attempted to assault a staff member at his trainer’s gym when Dr Farzam made the decision to call an ambulance.
As per yesterday’s reports, paramedics handcuffed Kanye to a stretcher “for his own health and safety” before he was transported to hospital.
Kris Jenner and Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian still attended the New York charity ball for cancer research, and Kris gave Extra TV a brief update on her son-in-law.
“He’s exhausted, he’s just really tired. He’s had a grueling tour and it’s been a grind so he just needs some rest,” she said.
A day before Kanye’s medical emergency it was announced the rapper had cancelled the remaining 21 days of his North American Saint Pablo Tour.
It’s been a difficult few months for Kim and Kanye after Kim was robbed at gunpoint in Paris about a month into the rapper’s planned four months of touring.
