Justin Bieber never seems to be far from drama, so he must have been feeling left out of the Kanye West versus Taylor Swift feud. Which might explain why he decided to reignite the controversy, which had begun to peter out in recent days.
Bieber posted a screenshot to Instagram of himself on a FaceTime call with Kanye West, who was with Justin’s manager Scooter Braun and another man. The Purpose singer gave his post an incendiary caption designed to get the attention of Taylor and fan the flames of the online hate directed at her from Kimye fans:
“What up Taylor Swift”.
The update hints that Justin and Kanye could be collaborating on something, or he might just be showing his allegiance as many high profile artists continue to choose sides. What we do know is the rapper looks absolutely thrilled in the screenshot, which hints that the pair might be up to something truly conniving.
It also proves that as much as Justin claims to be growing, evolving and encouraging his fans to find their ‘purpose’ with monologues bordering on preaching at his shows, he’s still pretty immature and can’t resist getting involved in any scandal he can possibly insert himself into. It’s hard to see what ‘purpose’ stoking the fire of the high school style feud between Taylor and Kanye has – especially when he’s got no reason to be involved.
He’s certainly matured in recent years, but Justin clearly still has a long way to go.
