They’ve professed their mutual adoration for each other, but Beyonce and Adele are about to face some intense competition as they go head-to-head in three categories at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
As the full nominations list announced today reveals, the no-surname-necessary divas are facing off in Album Of The Year (Lemonade vs 25), Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year, the latter two for Formation and Hello.
While Adele is nominated in some key categories, Beyonce slayed when it came to the amount of nods. She got the most of any artist with nine; followed by Drake, Rihanna and Kanye West, with eight and Chance The Rapper with seven.
Justin Bieber also fared well with his track Love Yourself nominated for Song Of The Year and his Purpose album in Album Of The Year.
While Kanye West did get eight nominations, including Rap Album Of The Year for The Life Of Pablo and Best Rap Song for Famous, there’s no doubt the rapper would have been hoping to see his name in the key categories, like Album, Song and Record Of The Year.

Australians can feel proud with three Aussie artists nominated. Sia’s album This Is Acting is up against Justin Bieber and Adele, among other for Best Pop Vocal Album, and her hit Cheap Thrills featuring Sean Paul is nominated in the Best Pop Duo Group Performance.
Electronic artist Flume is nominated for Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Album, and Keith Urban earned three nominations in the country music categories.
The 59th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on February 12 in Los Angeles, and hosted by The Late Late Show‘s James Corden.
