Donald Trump has been copping some flack following reports that many A-list artists have turned down the offer to perform at his presidential inauguration next month – Elton John, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli and Kiss are all believed to have declined.

It appears Trump’s new strategy regarding his inauguration day entertainment, then, is to pretend that he doesn’t really want anyone famous there anyway.

He lashed out at Hollywood in a tweet on Friday, writing:

“The so-called ‘A’ list celebrities are all wanting tixs to the inauguration, but look what they did for Hillary, NOTHING. I want the PEOPLE!”

After trolling Trump relentlessly throughout the presidential campaign, it seems Chrissy Teigen couldn’t resist another opportunity to have a dig at Donald.

“Hi – we are people,” she replied to Trump. “You are our president too. I don’t want you to be, but u are. Also we ALL know you are dying without the approval, dear.

“But have fun with DJ Buttcrack spinning the hot shit and Lil Banana dropping bars at your inauguration.”

She followed up with a tongue-in-cheek tweet to husband John Legend.

“@johnlegend‪ when can we tell people we voted for trump, I can’t live this lie anymore.”

The only acts confirmed to be performing are reality TV star Jackie Evancho, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and The Rockettes (although many members of the dance group reportedly don’t want to take part).
