There’s yet another shocking report following the news of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce this week, and it involves Pitt and child abuse claims.
TMZ is reporting that Pitt is being investigated by the FBI over claims that he was “verbally abusive and physical with his children” on a flight from France to the US last week – a day before Jolie filed for divorce.
Pitt was allegedly seen drunk and in a fit of rage as the family disembarked from the flight in the US, and the incident was anonymously reported to the police. However, since the alleged incident happened on an international flight, local authorities don’t have jurisdiction and it was referred to the FBI.
TMZ quotes a source close to Brad who said “He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children,” adding, “It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light.”
Dailymail.com published photos of a police car arriving at the Jolie-Pitt family home on Thursday.
A spokesperson for the US Department of Children and Family Services told several media outlets that they cannot confirm or deny whether a person is or is not under investigation.
