Adele will tour Australia for the first time ever in 2017, the singer revealed on Tuesday.
The 10-time Grammy Award-winner announced the news in a hand-written note posted to Instagram, making a clever, Down Under play on her hit Hello.
“G,day, it’s me …” she wrote. “I was wondering if after 10 years in the game you’d like to meet me in: Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide?”
The 28-year-old explained she’d be performing in stadiums to ensure as many of her fans get to see her as possible.

Aussie fans were discouraged recently when Adele indicated she might not tour again for some time – due to a mix of wanting to spend time with her son, an ongoing issue with stage anxiety and that she’s not in the business for the money – in an interview with Vanity Fair.
“I’d still like to make records, but I’d be fine if I never heard [the applause] again,” she said. “I’m on tour simply to see everyone who’s been so supportive. I don’t care about money. I’m British, and we don’t have that . . . thing of having to earn more money all the time. I don’t come from money; it’s not that important a part of my life.”
Adele’s Australian tour kicks off in February, and the dates announced so far are as follows:
28/2 Perth – Domain Stadium
4/3 Brisbane – The Gabba
10/3 Sydney – ANZ Stadium
13/3 Adelaide – Adelaide Oval
18/3 Melbourne – Etihad Stadium
Tickets go on sale on Monday 21st November. For more information go to live.adele.com.
